Bolinao, Pangasinan
The crescent-shaped province of Pangasinan boasts of verdant farmlands, pristine forests, and breathtaking water forms. Formally created by Governor-General Ronquillo de Penalosa in 1850, Pangasinan offers a visual mix of the old and new, found in its bustling cities and tranquil towns.
On November 6-7, 2004, The Alcove brought a group of amateur photographers to the scenic town of Bolinao in Pangasina where one can find the second tallest lighthouse, a 400-year old Roman Catholic church, rugged coastlines, unspoiled seascapes, and fascinating caves and rock formations.

Pictures from Puerto del Sol in Bolinao where we stayed for 2 days and 1 night. Apart from its spacious rooms with individual balconies, I really liked the fact that this resort is situated along the coast lines of South China Sea where you can take some of the best sunset shots.
You can also practice taking your boat shots in Bolinao. Maraming bangka rito, in various shapes, sizes, and colors. Being near a major body of water, fishing is one of if not the main source of living in this area. We enjoyed taking pictures in the Fisherman's wharf and the wet market.
